Armstrong Spallumcheen Museum and Art Gallery

The Armstrong Spallumcheen Museum opened its doors in 1983, almost ten years after the Armstrong Spallumcheen Historical Society was established, and is located in the building of a former machine shop. The Art Gallery opened just five years later in 1988. The Museum archives contain a variety of materials, such as newspapers from the beginning of the 20th century to present day, town and city council meeting minutes, school records, records from local organizations, as well as thousands of photographs. The Museum also houses a book containing a land survey of the Municipality of Spallumcheen completed in the 1920s, detailing the names of the owners of all the lots of land in and surrounding the municipality.
